Not all home inspections are equal

I’ve been involved with home renovations for many years and have helped thousands of people make informed decisions with their new homes. In my 10+ years of inspection experience, I’ve learned what matters most. Having performed thousands of home inspections professionally, the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors® has designated me a Certified Master Inspector®; this designation is something a vast majority of home inspectors do not have.

Before hiring me, I recommend that you visit the websites of other home inspection companies; I believe that in most cases you will find generic filler words, statements like “I’m educated and licensed”, and cheap insignia that merely shows that they inspect houses. In the state of Ohio, all home inspectors are required to be educated and licensed, so you may find yourself wondering whether many inspectors are qualified beyond the minimum standards. You should be weary who you entrust with the largest investment you will make in your life.

I really love my job. Seriously, even in my free time, I’m reading about new construction standards, thinking of ways to improve, and researching old building techniques simply out of curiosity. I enjoy sharing the things I’ve learned with people, so I appreciate it when you attend the home inspection so I can show you things I’ve found in your new home. Even when you’re not able to attend, I love even being able to connect over the phone or video call to discuss the inspection report with you.

My inspection reports are incredible. It sounds cheesy, but I’ve worked many hours building a template that jam packs useful information for you to better understand your home now and prepare you for the future. You will not find this with other home inspectors. While you research home inspection companies, look at a sample report of theirs; many inspectors will create a simple checklist for you, or their report covers a small number of “significant” items only. I believe that since you are paying me to inspect your home, you are entrusting in me to be as thorough as possible, and I won’t take that for granted. That being said, I’m not an alarmist; I put everything into perspective for you so that you can better understand whether something is truly a major issue, simply in need of improvement, or somewhere in-between.

Thanks for reading and considering working with me, I hope for an opportunity to serve you!
